DIGITAL BIOTOPES
︎2018
Digital Biotopes is an installation as an antithesis to incredibly fast data processes and optimized production. In order to create space to exchange digital and physical information. Translation engines use data sets to control the input for physical processes of microorganisms. The output of the biological process again informs the evolutionary algorithm. It comes to iteration, in which natural mutation with digital simulation in constant exchange occurs. The changing reformulation of digital and analogue processes creates a cycle, a symbiosis of digital and natural data. A new form of communication is proposed.
